At the Juravinski Cancer Centre Clinical Trials Department, we provide leading edge care while advancing knowledge about cancer and its treatment.
Established in 1981, our Clinical Trials Department consists of highly trained research staff and oncologists who give patients the option to participate in research studies, known as clinical trials, as an important part of their care. Our research program supports a large number of clinical trials covering all cancer types and stages.
By conducting high quality research, we offer patients access to the latest treatments and give hope to future patients by generating new knowledge.
Built on the Niagara Escarpment overlooking the City of Hamilton, the Juravinski Cancer Centre (JCC) sees more than 7,000 new patients each year. As a regional referral centre, the JCC collaborates and coordinates with care providers in each patient’s home community. The centre operates on a philosophy that combines high quality, evidence-based treatment, compassionate care, education, and research.
An academic teaching hospital, Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) is committed to providing excellent care for the people it serves and to advancing health care through education and research. A family of seven unique hospitals, including the Juravinski Hospital and the JCC, HHS serves more than 2.3 million residents of Hamilton and south central Ontario and is one of Canada’s premier health science research organizations.
