Patients throughout our region may be eligible to participate in clinical trials offered here at the Juravinski Cancer Centre. We also partner with many other local sites which offer clinical trials.

Partner sites include:

• Walker Family Cancer Centre in St. Catharines
• The Oncology Clinics at:
  • Brantford General Hospital
  • Cambridge Memorial Hospital
  • Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington

These centres either participate in the same clinical trials or can refer patients to the Juravinski Cancer Centre.

We also work closely with St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.

All of our oncologists who conduct clinical trials are faculty members of McMaster University.

Some of our oncologists and clinical trials research staff are members of the Escarpment Cancer Research Institute (ECRI), which includes the Ontario Clinical Oncology Group (OCOG).

Local clinical trials are approved by the Hamilton Integrated Research Ethics Board (HiREB) or the Ontario Cancer Research Ethics Board (OCREB).
